The Brookside Sidewalk Sale returns July 9–11, 2026, featuring deep discounts, special merchandise, local artists, pop-up activities, and unique shopping experiences throughout Kansas City's favorite neighborhood shopping district. Visitors can explore locally owned businesses, enjoy great food and drinks, watch soccer matches, and discover one-of-a-kind treasures while experiencing Brookside's welcoming small-town atmosphere. On Saturday, July 11, shoppers can also take advantage of the free Brookside Shred Event from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. behind Jalapeño's, with secure document shredding provided by Shred-It.

The Brookside Art Annual is back and bigger than ever! From May 1–3, 2026, Kansas City will celebrate four decades of artistic excellence at this beloved regional art show. Now in its 40th year, the event showcases more than 170 juried artists from across the country, drawing thousands of art enthusiasts each spring. Visitors can explore an extraordinary variety of artwork, from paintings and sculpture to innovative mixed media creations.
